EU VAT WITH THE
ONE STOP-SHOP (OSS)
The One-Stop-Shop is to facilitate the collection and administration of VAT on distance sales of products and services within the European Union.
It comes in 3 flavours;
Imported Goods
The Import One-Stop-Shop (IOSS) is for goods originating from outside of the EU which must be imported prior to delivery to EU consumers.
Also, know as the import scheme, the net value of goods per package cannot exceed €150.
One registration covers VAT declaration on all 27 EU member states and Northern Ireland.
Filing Frequency: Monthly VAT returns are required.

IOSS
OSS
The One-Stop-Shop (OSS) is for goods already in the EU for delivery to EU consumers. For non-EU businesses, this would normally be goods imported in bulk into EU warehouses or fulfilment centres. You'll need to be VAT registered in the Netherlands to warehouse goods.
One OSS EU registration covers VAT declaration on all 27 EU member states and Northern Ireland.
Filing Frequency: Quarterly VAT returns are required.
Registration: After being issued with your Dutch VAT number, your OSS number will be valid at the start of the next quarterly accounting period.

EU Warehoused Goods
The non-Union scheme is for non-EU online sellers providing services taking place in the EU, e.g. software or digital music downloads etc.
One EU registration covers all 27 EU member states.
Filing Frequency: Quarterly VAT returns are required.
Registration: 4 weeks after application, your Non-Union OSS OSS number will be valid at the start of the next quarterly accounting period.
